KIS is located in a quiet, gated, and guarded housing estate near the centre of Bangkok, and the thoughtfully designed facilities are purpose-built to support our academic and extracurricular programmes.
In August 2018 the school opened an Arts and Design centre. These facilities include two visual arts studios with plenty of natural light and wonderful space, and a new black box performing arts facility supports KIS students' creativity. Students use advanced graphics and 3d modeling software to explore product design with state of the art equipment. The building also hosts a multipurpose hall, a new school shop, and several offices, including the athletics and activities office, and the admissions office.
The Primary School is well resourced, student-friendly, and designed to support learning in the Primary Years Programme. The Early Years facilities are all located on the ground floor, allowing for easy access to outdoor learning environments. There are many natural elements for the children to play with and explore such as water and sand play, art materials, building materials, and much, much more to support our young learners as they inquire, play and discover.
In addition to the indoor and outdoor learning spaces, Primary School students enjoy their own library, maker space, art room, IT lab, music room, two playgrounds, pool and training pool, and sports court. There is also an indoor mini-performance theatre.
The Primary School learning environments are designed to be flexible and offer opportunities for group work, individual and class learning to take place. Centred around a shared space, classroom pods allow additional spaces for class and group learning activities.
Secondary school students enjoy well-resourced classrooms with a library, dedicated science labs, a black box theater, an exam and events hall, art studios, design labs, and a workshop. Sporting facilities include a sports field, an air-conditioned indoor gymnasium, and a 25-meter pool. Diploma students also enjoy a study room and lounge area.
Covered walkways from the Primary and Secondary School buildings provide easy and visually appealing access to facilities shared by both school divisions. They include all sporting facilities, the music suites and dance studios, the auditorium and canteen.
